What are your candles made from?
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using natural coconut soy wax, high-quality fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. They're phthalate-free and clean burning — safe for your home and heart.
How do I choose a scent if I’m unsure?

What’s the meaning behind your scent names?
Each candle is inspired by a memory, a moment, or a feeling. It’s our way of turning emotions into something you can hold. You can read the story behind each scent on the product page or follow us on Instagram @highlandhomefragrance for behind-the-scenes inspiration.
Can I reuse the candle jar?
Absolutely. Once your candle is finished, gently wash out the jar with warm soapy water and reuse it for pens, plants, or keepsakes.
Do you offer gift wrapping or a note?
Yes! Every order can include a handwritten note - just leave your message at checkout. Our candles arrive beautifully wrapped, ready to gift.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are dispatched from Regional Victoria within 3 business days. Shipping times vary depending on your location, but you’ll receive tracking details once your order is on the way.
Can I send a candle as a gift directly to someone?
Yes! Just pop their name and address in at checkout, and be sure to include a note so they know who it’s from. We won’t include any pricing.
Are your candles eco-friendly?
Yes. We use sustainable materials wherever possible — from recyclable amber jars to compostable packing peanuts. Our wicks are lead-free, and our wax is plant-based.
How long do your candles burn for?
Small candles (60g): Up to 25 hours
Standard candles (200g): Up to 65+ hours
Burn time depends on care and environment.
How should I care for my candle?
Trim your wick to 5mm before each burn, and allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges on first use to prevent tunnelling. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Read candle care on your box.
Do you take custom orders or wholesale?
We love working on custom scents and offer wholesale via Faire or direct enquiry.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll always make things right if something arrives damaged or faulty.
Why does my candle look a little different from the last one I ordered?
Because our candles are handmade in small batches, slight variations in colour, texture, or scent strength can occur - it’s all part of the charm of natural ingredients and artisan work.
My candle arrived a little frosty. Is that normal?
Yes! That frosted look is common with coconut soy wax and doesn’t affect the burn or scent. It’s actually a sign of a more natural wax blend.
